Psychological Support in a Time of Change
This major Australian company was facing the challenges arising
from rapid growth and expansion.
The Cheetham Consulting Group met
with the senior management team and designed a program to work with
key team members to assist them to understand their strengths and
weaknesses and their shifting role within the team.
On an ongoing basis, support and ideas are offered to consolidate the changes.
The company is rapidly moving towards a record profit.
Members of staff who constantly deal with difficult customers are subject to
disillusionment and stress. Furthermore, difficult customers often make verbal and physical assaults.
Cheetham Consulting Group, in co-operation with
Charter Resources, put into place a training program and support
system.
Now the company is recording its highest levels of employee satisfaction.
The result: much better serviced and happier customers instead of difficult customers.
Team Building Breaks Communication Barriers
This major manufacturing company has a multicultural workforce,
who have difficulty in understanding relationships between each
other and their employer.
The Cheetham Consulting Group has worked with the cell leaders and the
company's Human Resources Department to break down the barriers and to
build trust between all sections of the workforce.
A Cheetham Consulting Group psychologist regularly appears on the shop floor to mix with and to be accessible to workers.
The result: less tension, more attention to detail by workers and more open communication when problems arise.
Psychological Assessment for Executive Personnel Selection
This science and technology based company was agonising
over the right person to provide leadership for the next stage of
the company's expansion program.
In combination with Cannon Recruitment the Cheetham Consulting Group undertook a process which enabled the company to better understand its needs and to successfully recruit a suitable person.
Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Management
This service organisation was celebrating at its Christmas break-up.
The next morning, the team arrived at work to discover that one
of their members had left the Christmas celebrations the night before
and committed suicide.
They were devastated. None of them had any inkling that their co-worker was so desperately depressed.
One of our psychologists was on the next plane to conduct a
group and individual debrief at their workplace.
The result: prompt
intervention enabled an appropriate grieving process without staff
becoming traumatised and unable to function in the long-term.
They
remain an effective team.
